Crushed~

Every day I pray
A silent prayer, a plea for strength
Every night I sigh
Forlorn, alone and crushed.
There is a way around this
But I can't pay the toll.
So every day...
I pray for strength
And every night I sigh
Forlorn, alone and crushed.

I have to wonder, Dorn - as a fellow person of prayer, all those petitions we've made in our lives, hoping against all odds, breaking our hearts to attempt a closer reach to God's ear, and we're still "crushed and forlorn" as you say, why do we continue praying? Would you keep saying the same thing o'er and o'er that made no sense? No, of course not. But prayers to something we can't really explain is an act of pure blind faith - I respect and understand faith, and on a spiritual level, I've written many prose and poems to whatever God is. Hope to share them with you. As I read on I see someone that reminds me of "the eternal optimist" in you. Someone who breaks down walls if the other side is holding someone she loves captive. Thank you for stopping by and I hope I'm welcome to do the same.
